After I got the Hornady Critical Defense 115gr JHP’s I went for my Beretta 92FS. Col. Cooper was gone long before the modern 9mm proliferation of different loads and bullet types. Also long before the modern rise of concealed carry on the part of many folks who are not part of GC 1.0. While all of what I will call software factors are as true as when Col. Cooper first taught them in 1976, the hardware question is much more nuanced in GC 2.0.

Nope nope nope nope nope.
Glock 19 all day baby! .45 ACP is truly one of the most overrated cartridges of all time. Same goes for the 1911. I doubt if the commander models are as concealable as a Glock 19. By the way, has anyone here messed with a Gen 5 yet? My God they feel amazing!
