Thoughts on Vail Symposium’s Conversation on the Controversial Issue of Gun Violence (Light Over Heat #57)

This week’s “Light Over Heat” video offers my thoughts on the Vail Symposium Conversation on Controversial Issues I attended last week in Colorado.

The topic of the conversation was gun violence and it was hosted by Clay Jenkinson, with Josh Horwitz from Johns Hopkins and myself as the panel.

The event was recorded and I will post up links to the recording as soon as it is available.

  1. So what did you reply in the car? Fact is, guns ARE normal and NORMAL people own guns. That goes for ARs as well as the more innocuous guns.

My big beef with AR bans is that if we freeze Second Amendment technology to military arms invented a century ago (recall U.S. v Miller), why do the Internet, radio, TV, and smart phones have First Amendment protection?

    Looking forward to the video.
